I know I am. As of right now I think my total number of briefcases stands at five (kind of!). That’s low for me. I could buy a new briefcase every month — easily. All I have to do is walk in a leather store. Love that new leather smell.

But I’ve tried to keep things in check over the last few years. I have a bunch of different varieties.

  • A beautiful leather “corporate” briefcase that’s one of my favorites (but I never use it anymore — just keeping it for the memories I guess).
  • I also have a rolling computer catalog case that will carry a lot of stuff. It’s come in handy plenty of times.
  • And I have a rolling laptop case that rarely gets used either. I used to travel with it which makes rolling through airports a breeze, but with that and a rolling carry on it’s a bit much for me.
  • My briefcase of choice these days is a womens leather briefcase that looks like an oversized purse (I have a few of these!). It holds my laptop nicely along with the necessary papers I have to tote along.

I got to thinking about being a Briefcase-Aholic (BA for short) and decided to ask if there were any other BAs on twitter. I received but one reply! I know there’s more people out there. Here’s the conversation I had with another self admitted BA on twitter.

How do you tell if your a BA? Easy. You have three or more briefcases and have a hard time resisting the urge to buy more. Welcome to the club.

I don’t know about you, but when I travel the last thing I want to do is lug a bunch of bags through airport security and onto the plane. Not to mention that overhead cabin space is pretty sparse these days because people don’t want to pay airline check in fees. It’s a real mess.

So here’s a bag that might just be the ticket for your short trips. Not only is it a rolling laptop bag with lots of protection for your computer, it’s also got space for a change of clothes! It also has a cool little compartment for your cell phone and lots of room for your papers and other gadgets. Take a look at the video tour of this bag below and see if it will work for you. It looks pretty cool to me. Enjoy!
